While natural stone may appear to be indestructible, neglect improper cleaning methods can cause permanent damage. The key to preserving the eternal beauty and grandeur of your natural stone countertops is proper maintenance. Understanding your particular stone and the importance of stone care products is essential to establishing a successful maintenance program.

Use coasters under all glasses, particularly those containing alcohol or citrus juices. Many common foods and drinks contain acids that will etch or dull the surface of many stones. Do not place hot items directly on the stone surface. Use trivets or mats under hot dishes and placemats under china, ceramics, silver or other objects that can scratch the surface.

Maintaining the natural beauty of CAMBRIA is simple: messy spills can be easily wiped away, using a damp cloth or paper towel and a solution of warm water and soap. If needed, you can use common, household products, such as window cleaners. But you should always avoid abrasive/scouring cleansers.

CAMBRIA is structurally more resistant to surface damage than other stones, including granite. However, all stone can be damaged by excessive force or pressure. CAMBRIA's high gloss finish and extremely low moisture absorption provides resistance to staining and fully eliminates the need for any sealing.

CAMBRIA is also structurally heat-resistant. However, all stone can potentially be damaged by sudden and rapid change of temperature, especially near the edges. Therefore, the use of a hot pad or trivet is always recommended.

A hard, nonporous surface makes CaesarStone easy to clean. In most cases, soap and water or a mild detergent is all that is required to maintain its luster. If necessary, non-abrasive cleansers can be used along with a green scrub pad for tough stains and adhered materials. Thoroughly rinse the surface with clean water to remove residue.

CaesarStone prides itself in providing our customers a virtually care-free surface, but as with any product, excessive abuse can harm its finish. CaesarStone does not require sealants or waxes to maintain its luster, although an occasional polishing with mild cleansers will keep the quartz surfacing looking its best. With a small amount of care, your CaesarStone surface will look as great as the day you bought it for years to come.
